Volunteer to Start Something
What if every child finished high school, went to college or university, got a job and gave back to our community? Wouldn't that be something?

A BIG Thank You to Vanderhoof and Districts Co-op

20170125_112325

We are so excited to announce that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Quesnel

received $3,600 in funding through our Community Support Fund for 2016!

This group does some amazing work with our youth, and this money

will go a long way for them in training their teen mentors to continue their teen

mentoring program.

The program is designed to provide personal growth, leadership development

and community involvement. It provides grade 11 students with the

opportunity to become positive role models, and gives kindergarten students

someone to look up to and share positive experiences with.

Pictured here (left to right) are Allan Bieganski, General Manager; Noah Lee,

Michelle Riley and Joanie Newman of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Quesnel;

Km McIvor, Quesnel Representative of Vanderhoof and Districts

Co-operative Association's Board of Directors; and

Bud Pye, President of the Board of Directors.
